ROCKWALL, Texas — A missing six-month-old girl that prompted an AMBER Alert on Monday morning was located unharmed out of state hours later, and her parents face charges, officials said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety issued the alert shortly after 8:30 a.m. Monday.

The baby, who was last seen around 4:30 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of Munson Street in Rockwall, was later located near Springfield, Missouri with her biological parents, according to an update from officials at 11:15 a.m.

WFAA has removed the baby's name from the story, as she is a juvenile and has been found.

Police in a statement shortly before the baby was found said detectives "developed a high level of confidence" that the baby's biological parents took her after losing parental rights.

The baby's parents were identified by police as 26-year-old Dakota Brady and 22-year-old Margaret VanAken, who were also listed as wanted on the AMBER Alert flier distributed earlier Monday.

Missouri Highway Patrol located the parents' vehicle at around 11 a.m. and found the parents and baby inside of it.

Police said criminal charges are pending against the two parents, but police did not say specifically what they were.

More information about the case was not released.
