WEBSTER, Texas — The opening date of an indoor water park and hotel just south of Houston is getting closer.
The Great Wolf Lodge Texas Gulf Coast in Webster will now open on Aug. 7 instead of Labor Day weekend and they're ready to hire hundreds of people.

They hope to hire 600+ new "pack members" during the two-week job fair. The positions include lifeguards, engineering, kids’ entertainment, attractions, front desk, housekeeping and more. The pay ranges from $16 per hour to $27 based on the role.
The job fair will be held June 29-July 13 at Bayway Village Shopping Mall in Webster. It starts at 9 a,m. and closing times will vary.

The 532-room hotel in Webster features several attractions for people of all ages.
Back in April, we got a sneak peek of the 92,000-square-foot indoor water park, 61,000-square-foot adventure park and hotel under construction.
- The waterpark has 13 total slides, including a new slide exclusive to Great Wolf Lodge Texas Gulf Coast called the Texas Twirler. The centerpiece attraction is Otter Cave Waterworks, a multi-level, interactive water play structure with intertwined “leaking” water pipes, spray jets, four twisting body slides and Great Wolf Lodge’s signature, 1,000-gallon tipping bucket.
- Great Wolf Adventure Park is filled with attractions such as an indoor ropes course, miniature golf, arcade and a all-new virtual reality experience.
- Several culinary venues ranging from pizza and burgers to upscale dining and premium ice cream treats.
Great Wolf Lodge is located on a 27-acre site on Great Wolf Way just east of the Gulf Freeway in Webster.
