HOUSTON — After another day of heavy rain across the Houston area, widespread flooding continues to cause issues, especially north of Houston.
Some school districts are canceling classes on Friday due to the weather.

Faith Lutheran School in Huntsville is closed on Friday, May 3.
Humble ISD will be closed on Friday, May 3.
Huntsville ISD will be closed on Friday, May 3.
Livingston ISD will remain closed through Fri, May 3.
Magnolia ISD is closed on Friday, May 3.
Montgomery ISD will be closed on Friday, May 3.
New Caney ISD will be closed on Friday, May 3.

STAAR testing deadline extended for districts closed due to flooding
TEA is allowing school systems unable to complete STAAR mathematics testing due to school closures from flooding this week to complete testing next week. All STAAR grades 3–8 mathematics and algebra I assessments for these LEAs must be completed by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.
