Video shows USPS letter carrier being attacked, robbed in N. Houston

Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of robbing a USPS letter carrier last month.

HOUSTON — A $150,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a man who's accused of attacking a United States Postal Service letter carrier.

It happened on Nov. 10 around 5:40 p.m. along Chestnut Street in north Houston.

The incident was caught on camera.

Authorities described the suspect as being about 6 feet, 5 inches tall and 230 pounds. He had facial hair at the time of the crime and was wearing a gray hoodie. He left the scene in a small, dark-colored SUV.

The robbery of a letter carrier is a federal offense and is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
