Two men hospitalized after shooting at apartment complex in west Houston

One of the victims was found lying on the sidewalk outside the hospital. He was taken in by officers to be treated.

HOUSTON - Two men were hospitalized after they were injured in a shooting in west Houston early Tuesday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Around 1 a.m., officers said the two men were shot at an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Woodland Park Drive.

One of them was taken to West Houston Medical Center by car and the second victim was found lying on the ground outside the hospital.

According to HPD, officers found the man on the sidewalk in front of the hospital. He was taken inside and was treated.

The victims were later identified as Keith Winston, 25, and Alahjawon Morton, 23.

Both men are expected to survive.

At this time, there is no word on a suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
