HPD: Three people shot during apparent robbery attempt in northeast Houston

One of the victims died and the other two were rushed to the hospital, according to the Houston Police Department.

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex in northeast Houston Tuesday night.

They say three people were shot during an apparent robbery attempt at the Villas on the Green complex.

HPD confirmed a 35-year-old man died at the scene. The others victims, identified as a 28-year-old woman and 30-year-old man, were rushed to area hospitals.

It happened just after 8 p.m. in the 9600 block of Homestead Road.

Officers say three masked men burst into the apartment and shot all three victims.

Police are still looking for the suspects.
