SEABROOK, Texas — A woman was found dead in a Seabrook apartment and now police are looking for her killer.
It happened Friday at the complex at 2401 Repsdorph Road. Police were originally called for reports of gunshots. When they got there, they found the woman dead inside. Two children were with her. They were safely removed.
On Saturday, police identified the victim as 23-year-old Mary Jane Collins.
Police didn't know where the suspect was, so they called for a SWAT team and told residents to stay indoors.
After a search of the complex, police determined the suspect wasn't there. The shelter-in-place order was lifted at around 3:50 p.m.
SPD said they believe Collins knew the suspect and there's no threat to the community.
