HCSO releases video, photos of vehicle involved in deadly road rage shooting

Angel Muñiz-Acosta died after he was shot near the intersection of Freeport and Muscatine streets in the Cloverleaf area on Nov. 19.

HOUSTON — The Harris County Sheriff's Office is still trying to find the gunman involved in a deadly road rage incident in the Cloverleaf area earlier this month. They just released video and photos of the suspect's vehicle.

Angel Muñiz-Acosta, 21, was rushed to the hospital after he was shot on Nov. 19 but he later died. His girlfriend, also 21, wasn't injured in the shooting.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the couple left a taco truck on Freeport Street and turned onto nearby Muscatine Street that Sunday around 4 p.m.

Video released by HCSO shows Muñiz's white pickup on Muscatine St. with the suspect's silver four-door Toyota Camry two vehicles behind him. The Camry speeds up and swerves around an SUV.

When the pickup and the Camry stopped out of camera range, someone in the Camry shot Muniz-Acosta.

Anyone with information on the suspects and the car used in this incident is urged to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide unit at 713-274-9100.
