HOUSTON--Two people were shot in a home invasion in a south Houston neighborhood on Friday afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m., Houston police responded to a report of male suspects breaking into a home on the 12100 block of Meadow Place Dr. Officers say that armed burglars kicked in the door. It s not clear if anything was taken.
Three people, a woman and two men, were inside. Both men were shot and suffered from non-life threatening wounds.
One of the neighbors reports that the homeowner is a married physician with three children in their late teens and early 20s.
I m scared, really. The house is right there so for them to do that and it s like, four houses down, that concerns me a lot, said Valencia Webber, a neighbor.
We have a very, very good community here and this sort of thing happened here. We don t have this time of activity in our neighborhood, we really don t.
Police are still looking for the suspects.
