Man who chased egg-throwing teens arrested again for traffic-stopping stunt

According to court documents, Lopez was with a group who stopped traffic on I-45 in front of the "Be Someone" artwork.

HOUSTON — The man who allegedly chased a 14-year-old egg-throwing driver has been arrested for a second time this week.

Christopher Lopez, 48, was charged with manslaughter Monday for his role in the deadly crash that happened while he was chasing the teens who egged his car.

Investigators say Lopez fired shots at the teens and that's why the 14 year old ran a red light.

The teen ended up crashing into an SUV driven by 45-year-old Silvia Zavala. She died at the scene.

According to court documents, Lopez also helped block traffic last month on I-45 under the "Be Somebody" graffiti. He and other slab drivers parked their vehicles below the iconic sign and no one could get by.

Videos and photos of the stunt were posted to social media but most have disappeared since Lopez's latest arrest.

He is charged with obstructing a highway, a misdemeanor.
