HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after a person was shot at a mortuary in north Houston and later died, police say.
The shooting happened Saturday around 11 a.m. on Hamilton Street outside of McDuffie's Mortuary, which is near Tidwell Road and I-45.
Details are still limited, but a witness told KHOU 11 that a woman at a funeral shot a man during a possible family dispute. Police dispatch told us a woman has been taken into custody, but it's not clear whether she is the shooter.
