HOUSTON — Police are investigating a deadly shooting early Monday near a baseball diamond in southwest Houston.
They found the body of a man believed to be in his early 20s lying in the grass of a park on Lipan Road near Fondren Road just before 1 a.m. He'd been shot several times.
According to Houston police two males were seen with the victim before the shooting.
"They were talking to this victim, at some point, shot him. The two males then ran off," HPD Lt. J.P. Horelica said. "They returned a few minutes later, shot the victim several more times and ran off again."
The victim's name hasn't been released.
