DEER PARK, Texas — Two teenagers from Chicago could be linked to several, if not more, packages stolen in the Deer Park area, according to police.

The Deer Park Police Department said they received two calls involving theft of delivered packages on Friday evening.

Police said officers reviewed Ring security video and spotted two possible suspects and their vehicle. They then used the Flock license plate reader system to identify the license plate on the vehicle.

After identifying the vehicle, officers began searching for the car and located it circling a nearby neighborhood, police said. They stopped the vehicle and arrested David Dye, 17, and Iyanna Perry, 18, both from Chicago.

Both face felony theft charges.

Police said the pair flew into town on Friday and began stealing packages containing iPhone 16s from AT&T customers. Investigators are still trying to determine how the suspects were able to get this information on the deliveries.

Investigators said the suspects intended to stay in town for a week until returning home. GPS from their rental vehicle showed they had spent significant time circling neighborhoods in Katy, Fort Bend County, La Porte, and Deer Park.

Investigators said. if you have been a victim, contact your local police to file a report.
