HOUSTON — A woman found dead in her southwest Houston apartment was last seen alive in surveillance video from the day before the discovery was made.
Now, police are asking for help identifying the man seen walking with her toward her apartment on Forum Park Drive just off the Southwest Freeway inside Beltway 8.
He's considered a person of interest in the death of 27-year-old Kenia Guardado.
The video shows Guardado and the man walking in the early morning hours on Monday, Sept. 30. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, Guardado was found dead inside her apartment. She had been shot to death, police said.
Her body was found by family members after Guardado didn't pick her child up from the babysitter and they couldn't get in touch with her. When they went to her apartment to check on her, they made the discovery.
They're hoping to raise enough money to fly Guardado's body to Honduras to be buried. The family is also hoping anyone with information about what happened will contact Houston police.
