Police investigating triple shooting at corner store in southeast Houston, HPD says

Investigators said two men were inside the corner store when several rounds of gunfire riddled their store.

HOUSTON — Police are investigating a triple shooting at a corner store that happened in southeast Houston late Thursday night.

This happened just after 11 p.m. on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Selinsky Road.

Investigators said two men were inside the corner store when several rounds of gunfire broke out.

Two men were shot inside the store. Police said a third victim was shot several times in his car, but was able to drive himself to a fire station to get help.

“He’s going to be OK,”  said Lt. Wilkins with the Houston Police Department. "He drove himself to the fire station. That’s how we got the call about the other guys and found them down. As always officers did a great job putting tourniquets on."

Police said of the other two men who were shot, one of them is in critical condition and the other is expected to be fine.

Houston police said they're searching for a black sedan that left the shooting scene. Investigators said witnesses saw someone shooting into the store from the car, leaving broken window glass behind.
