HOUSTON — There was a heavy police presence outside a River Oaks home on Thursday as police and SWAT officers reportedly attempted to execute a search warrant at around 10 a.m.
According to the Houston Police Department, the heavy response came after an officer reported "something suspicious" at a residence in the 3800 block of Del Monte Drive.
Police say a person was detained shortly before 3 p.m. They say there is no threat to the public, but a police presence will remain in the area as an investigation takes place.
We don't yet know what prompted the warrant and subsequent investigation.
