HOUSTON — The man accused of killing an innocent woman after crashing into her SUV during a chase on Friday now faces a murder charge.
Tonight, a judge set a $450,000 bond for Bryson Ryan McClure -- $350,000 on the murder charge and another $100,000 for the evading charge.
Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said McClure, 29, ran a red light slammed into the victim's vehicle at the Grand Parkway intersection with Highway 99. The woman, whose name hasn't been released, died at the scene.
HCSO said McClure was driving a Ford F-150 stolen in San Antonio when a Texas DPS aircraft spotted the vehicle and asked for help from the ground.
HCSO responded and tried to pull the driver over but they said McClure took off and led deputies on a 14-mile chase.
Prosecutors told the judge that McClure has a long rap sheet and this was his fifth arrest for evading since 2014.
He was injured in the crash and treated at a local hospital before being released to the custody of HCSO.
