'Disgusted' | Man who worked at Oak Ridge HS arrested, accused of sexual assault of a child

The district fired Kesean Carter amid sexual assault allegations.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A former Conroe ISD employee was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child, the district said in a letter sent home to parents.

Kesean Carter worked as a paraprofessional at Oak Ridge High School for less than a month before he was fired Thursday amid the sexual assault allegations.

The district said he worked as a substitute from late January to May before he was hired as an instructional paraprofessional.

Here's a statement from Conroe ISD:

"We are incredibly saddened and disgusted by the actions of our former employee. This individual’s actions are not representative of our thousands of exceptional employees. As expressed in the message below from Oak Ridge High School Principal Shawn Almond, student safety is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students."
