HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A man was stabbed Tuesday when he got in the middle of an argument between his sister and her ex-boyfriend in the Greenspoint area, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Gonzalez posted about the incident on social media just before 3 p.m.
He said it happened at the ex-girlfriend's home along Bolton Gardens Drive, which is just off Veterans Memorial Drive at West Greens Road.
According to Gonzalez, the 18-year-old suspect showed up at the house upset over a breakup with his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend.
The brother intervened and asked him to leave, Gonzalez said. That's when a fight broke out and the suspect pulled out a knife, stabbed the brother and ran away from the scene.
The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
A short time later, Gonzalez said, the suspect was found. He had a minor hand injury and was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition, according to Gonzalez.
