Police have responded to a scene after a body was found in a retention pond in southeast Houston Tuesday.

HOUSTON — Police have responded to a scene after a body was found in a retention pond in southeast Houston Tuesday.

This happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 11900 block of Astoria Boulevard not far from Memorial Hermann Southeast Esophageal Disease Center. Preliminary information said the man was not a patient at the hospital. 

Views from Air 11 showed a body that had been pulled from the water on the banks near a bridge.

The man's identity has not been released.
