HOUSTON — A third person has been charged with capital murder in the recent shooting death of a store clerk on Houston's South Side.
Francisco Merino, 29, was working inside the store on Mykawa Road near Southridge Street when he was shot and killed around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17.
Court records show Dnarion Henderson, 23, and Kenya Bell, 19, were arrested a few days later and charged with killing Merino.
Now, police say Jquerian Minor, 21, has also been charged in the case. Minor was arrested in Fort Worth on July 29 on an unrelated charge and he remains in the Tarrant County Jail.
Houston police said the robbers wore hoods and masks when they held up the store and then shot the victim before running away on foot.
Witnesses found Merino and called 911 but he died at the scene.
