HOUSTON — H-E-B will give out 5,000 holiday meals in Houston this weekend during its 2023 Feast of Sharing drive-thru event.
Each vehicle will receive four hot brisket BBQ meals with all the fixings and a box containing non-perishable holiday items.
WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (rain or shine)
WHERE: NRG Yellow Lot, 9051 S. Main Street
HOW: Meals will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. No registration required.
This event is part of H-E-B’s Hunger Relief Program, which works year-round to prevent hunger. In 2022, the program donated 34 million pounds of food to families in need. Since it began in 1982, more than 1 billion pounds of food have been donated to 5,500 non-profit organizations in Texas and Mexico.
While Feast of Sharing events have been in person in some cities, Houston's is drive-thru only this year.
