HOUSTON — Reconstruction of a Survivor was founded by Dr. Jennie M. Bennett, a passionate advocate for breast cancer survivors. As a breast cancer survivor herself, Dr. Bennett recognized the need for a support network that not only provided emotional and psychological support but also addressed the financial challenges many individuals face during treatment. She launched the foundation with the goal of helping women and men navigate their breast cancer journey with dignity and strength.
As a professor of education, Dr. Bennett developed a curriculum based on her research that helps our facilitators guide group members through their healing journey.
