Southern Smoke Foundation provides relief grants & access to mental health services to food & beverage workers

From farmers to fry cooks, servers to sommeliers, the Southern Smoke Foundation puts dollars directly into the pockets of food and beverage workers in need.

Southern Smoke Foundation's mission is to create a healthier and more sustainable food and beverage (F+B) industry by providing emergency relief grants nationwide and access to mental health services to F+B workers.

James Beard Award winner, Chris Shepherd, and Executive Director, Lindsey Brown, created this nonprofit seeing the need of food and beverage workers firsthand.

Southern Smoke Foundation's biggest annual fundraiser, Southern Smoke Festival, is on October 5th presented by Alaska Seafood. More than 70 incredible culinary stars from across the country will join the best wine, spirit, and beer producers and outstanding live music at Discovery Green in the heart of Downtown Houston.

Proceeds from Southern Smoke Festival will benefit Southern Smoke Foundation's Emergency Relief Fund to support food and beverage (F+B) workers in crisis nationwide and its Behind You program that provides access to no-cost counseling for F+B workers in California, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington D.C.
