High-quality ingredients & made-from-scratch cooking at Balboa Surf Club

From upscale seafood to a curated sushi program, burgers, steaks and more, Balboa Surf Club has a dish for everyone.

HOUSTON — Balboa Surf Club is a neighborhood American Restaurant with a seafood focus, the newest destination from Western Addition, the group behind other Uptown favorites il Bracco. Balboa opened its doors in September 2023 in Post Oak Plaza, on the corner of Post Oak and San Felipe, and are celebrating their first anniversary this week. They are open every day for lunch and dinner, offering upscale seafood, a curated sushi program, hearty salads, burgers, steaks and much more.

When building il Bracco, their leadership team was doing a walkthrough of the construction site and looked out the big kitchen window across the parking lot to the former Massraf's building, and while they were standing there inspiration struck - and they knew that they wanted to double down and build something unique and special in that space too. And so Balboa Surf Club was born!

There is something on this menu for everyone - whether you are a seafood lover or not. Everything is made in house every day! Breads and buns for sandwiches and burgers are baked fresh each morning, and they butcher whole seafood and cuts of meat daily. The meat for their burgers is ground fresh, sushi rice is made every 45 minutes, they even make the tortillas that they then fry into tostadas to accompany their Baja Seafood Cocktail and Guacamole.
