Breast Cancer Awareness Month: The Rose offers breast health services & access to care to those who can't afford it

The Rose provides everything from mammograms to biopsies & patient navigation services.

HOUSTON — At The Rose, their mission is to save lives through quality breast health services, advocacy, and access to care for all women. They provide everything from mammograms to biopsies and even patient navigation services, which are crucial in guiding women through the often confusing healthcare system. The Rose also has mobile units traveling across Southeast Houston giving more patients access to mammograms. They ensure that no woman is left behind, regardless of her ability to pay or how far they live. The Rose has served over one million patients since their inception in 1986. They're also entering the future of breast health. This year, they have added services like genetic testing to help women identify if they have the breast cancer gene sooner, and have also added Breast MRIs to ensure even greater accuracy in breast cancer screening.

Kicking for A Miracle fundraiser at Golden Eagle Taekwondo is happening on October 26th. It's an event where kids from their dojos and the community get the chance to purchase boards to break at the event, with all proceeds going directly to The Rose. Last year, they were able to raise $7,000, and this year they hope to do even more. The event is not only a fun way for the kids to get involved but also an opportunity for them to learn the importance of giving back to their community. It's a powerful way to show our gratitude for the life-saving care The Rose provided to the Um family, and they're thrilled to help support the Rose's mission during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
