This is what Hurricane Beryl looked like as it moved into Southeast Texas

Our reporters were spread out around the city capturing video of what the storm looked like where they were.

HOUSTON β€” Hurricane Beryl made landfall near Matagorda early Monday morning as a Category 1 storm. It was the final landfall of the storm that moved off the coast of Africa, through the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean, then the Gulf of Mexico and finally Southeast Texas.

KHOU 11 had crews around the city to capture video of Beryl's arrival, from Sugar Land to Galveston to the Galleria area and more.

We'll start in Sugar Land, where reporter Maria Aguilera was reporting from rain that was coming down sideways. She posted several videos to her X account, showing the conditions in Fort Bend County.

KHOU 11 photojournalist John King was at the North Freeway at East Tidwell, where there was high water that was rising.

In the Galleria area, water pressure was overwhelming a manhole cover. KHOU 11's Shern-Min Chow captured video of it.

And at times, Beryl was making it hard to stand up.

Reporter Deevon Rahming was in Galveston, where Beryl's winds were shaking the palm trees.

Reporter Jason Miles was in Pearland with Beryl and posted this video.

In downtown Houston, reporter Victor Jacobo captured trees down.

We will continue to add to this page as more photos and videos come in. And if you took photos or videos, share them with us through the Near Me feature of our app.
