HOUSTON — The KHOU 11 Weather Team has called for a Weather Impact Alert Thursday morning.
According to the weather team, the timing is 4 a.m. until 9 a.m. At this point, we don’t expect severe storms. The flood threat is there, but it’s low. There could be isolated high-water spots on the roads.
A line of showers and thunderstorms is expected to move across the area from north to south, entering our northern counties around 4 a.m., downtown by 6:30 a.m. then to the coast by around 9 a.m.
What you need to know – the weather could impact your morning commute.
Expect brief heavy rain, street ponding, gusty wind to about 40 mph and reduced visibility on the morning commute.
