SPRING, Texas — Storms were so strong in parts of the Houston area Friday, they uprooted trees!

A KHOU 11 viewer shared video near FM 1960 and Aldine Westfield showing rain and strong winds pulling a tree up and out of the ground.

The viewer said the tree caused damage to her roof, but no one was injured as a result.

Friday’s storms brought tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings. A flash flood watch is in effect for Houston through Saturday afternoon.

Several parts of the viewing area saw flooding, including Tomball. Viewers in other parts spotted funnel clouds.
