Hurricane season may not be as bad as predicted. Here's why

After the devastation of Harvey, many Gulf Coast residents dreaded the beginning of another hurricane season.

HOUSTON — We've entered the heart of hurricane season, with August and September typically the most active months for storm development.

But it may not be as bad as predicted. Several unusual factors are coming together that could significantly reduce the storm count.
