HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Heavy downpours in southeast Texas Sunday caused a fallen tree to hit a gas line and start a fire inside a northwest Harris County home, according to Precinct 4 Constable's Office.
It happened at a home on Pinole Lane Court near Bourgeois Road.
Precinct 4 said the house fire started after lightning struck a tree, causing it to fall into the home's garage and hit a gas line inside.
Deputy constables assisted the Northwest Fire Department in putting out the fire. No injuries were reported.
