A stormy night across southeast Texas left high water on Houston roads and hail in parts of the viewing area.

KHOU had reports of high water in several spots, including West University and southwest Houston, where cars were stalled out.

We also heard from many of you about hail.  Verna Ruedin Gutierrez sent in pictures of nickel-size hail that fell in Dickinson and Kemah.

Hail fell in Dickinson Tuesday night.

Meanwhile in Ft. Bend County, lightning is blamed for a house fire. According to the Rosenberg Fire Department, lightning struck a home in the 2300 block of Cherrington Woods Lane.  Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued throughout the evening. At one point, even Rodeo Houston shuttles were suspended and the Dynamo delayed the start of their game.
