Hurricane season is right around the corner but it’s not too late to prepare.
The annual Houston/Galveston Hurricane Workshop is scheduled for this Saturday, May 21, at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
The free event aims to prepare residents for hurricane season through presentations, interactive exhibits, hurricane forecasting and more.
The workshop is the largest of its kind in the nation and more than 2,500 people attend each year.
Our entire KHOU weather team will take part in the workshop. Here’s the schedule:
- · Chita Johnson: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- · Mario Gomez: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- · David Paul: 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- · Brooks Garner: 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.
