PASADENA, Texas — The power is back on for most of the Houston area, but some neighborhoods still woke up in the dark Thursday morning.
By Thursday afternoon, power was restored, but the 11 days without lights on was weighing on Mary Delgado.
"I’m frustrated," Delgado, who has lived in her home for 22 years, said. "I feel like they have forgotten about this side of Pasadena."
Her lights went out the day Beryl hit. She turned on a small generator, but it couldn’t power the whole house.
Delgado said not being given a restoration timeline was part of the problem. She said it wasn't frustrating because it wasn't her first storm.
"Me and my neighbors were saying we didn’t lose power through Harvey, but this one swept us out," Delgado said.
She also knows it won’t be her last.
"What happened? Where did they drop the ball? Where is the money that you collect on everybody’s monthly bill that we pay for debris and garbage?" Delgado said.
Those are just some of the questions she wants to ask CenterPoint.
Delgado told KHOU she hopes CenterPoint will do more tree maintenance before the next storm, especially for older neighborhoods like hers in Pasadena.
