HOUSTON — The American Red Cross has opened numerous shelters across the Houston area to help victims in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.

- Prescriptions and emergency medications
- Foods that meet unusual dietary requirements
- Identification and important personal documents
- Extra clothing, pillows, blankets, hygiene supplies and other comfort items

- Special items for family members who are elderly or disabled
