HOUSTON — Downpours are possible again today at the coast, with drier weather and breaks of sun possible again for many inland areas. Highs will range from the low 80s at the coast to the low 90s farther inland. Rain chances will trend higher for the entire area by the middle of the week. That said, a few heavy downpours are not out of the question, especially towards the coast.
Additionally in the tropics, we continue to watch a wave drifting towards the Caribbean. As of Tuesday morning, the National Hurricane Center is maintaining medium (40%) odds of developing sometime during the middle of next week. Significant uncertainty exists regarding where this system might go, if it even forms. Check the forecast regularly for updates this week.
Finally at home, a weak front is possible by the end of the week. Temperatures aren't expected to drop, but humidity could come down a bit and rain will finally clear the area, giving way to sunshine for next weekend.
