HOUSTON — United Airlines is adding new flights out of Bush Airport ahead of the busy summer travel season.
According to United, more than 40 new flights out of IAH to domestic destinations will launch this summer. Those destinations include Miami, Tampa, Boston and Charleston. This May, the airline is also resuming flights from Houston to Ontario, California, for the first time in a couple years.
As for overseas travel, United will offer nonstop flights between the U.S. and Georgetown, Guyana, four times a week beginning in April. The’ll also fly from Bush Airport to new Tulum International Airport in Mexico 22 times a week.
“United in Houston takes pride in being one of the largest hubs in the United network, operating more than 400 flights a day with more seats to Latin America from Texas than any other carrier at IAH airport," Vice President of Airport Operations, Houston Hub, Phil Griffith said. "This exciting route expansion is a positive reflection of the growth happening in our industry and we’re happy to provide Houstonians with access to these destinations as their ‘hometown airline’."
