Luxury Houston-to-Dallas bus service launching April 20

Satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, free snacks/meals and first-class extra big seats will have you getting to and from Dallas without worrying about the drive
"This is not your normal charter bus. Our custom- configured coaches contain only 16 first-class seats versus the 56 seats of a same-size charter bus. Need a private workspace to discuss an important project or case? Reserve a conference room so you and your team can enjoy our service while collaborating behind closed doors. Our on-board service makes you feel like you're on a private jet."

ID=27292509HOUSTON – The two most popular ways to get to-and-from Dallas are by plane or personal vehicle, but there's another option that will let you skip the security lines and avoid getting behind-the-wheel.

Vonlane is launching its Houston-to-Dallas bus service on April 20 with a special price of $69 each way. But this isn't your typical form of public transportation.

You can arrive just five minutes before the departure time, so there's no sitting around wasting time in lines or in a terminal.

Once aboard, you'll enjoy large, comfortable seats with extra legroom and power plugs. Complimentary Wi-Fi meals, snacks and beverages are available, as is a business conference room and printer. You'll also get access to satellite TV and an attendant.

The trip takes about 3.5 hours each way, making it shorter than air travel when you factor in security and check-in at the airport. Vonlane warns, however, their buses aren't immune to traffic issues on I-45. Even still, the company claims to beat airlines' on-time performance records.

After the launch special ends, the fare will typically be about $100 each way, Vonlane says.
