HOUSTON — Looking to take a trip to Connecticut? Houston-based Avelo Airlines might have you covered.
Twice a week, the airline will offer a direct flight between Houston's William P. Hobby Airport to Tweed-New Haven Airport, with prices starting at $98. (That price, the airline notes, is for trips taken by July 31 of this year with bookings made by March 27 and based on availability.)
According to Avelo, it's the only airline offering direct flights between Houston and Connecticut. The route will be flown on Mondays and Fridays starting on June 14. The flights will be on a Boeing Next Generation 737.
“Houston Airports exists to connect the people, businesses, cultures, and economies of the world to Houston. That’s why we are thrilled to welcome Avelo to Hobby Airport," Houston Airports Aviation Director Jim Szczesniak said.
Other routes offered by the airline include flights from Brownville to Los Angeles and Orlando.
