Highway 146 in Kemah reopens after rig crash, hazmat spill cause shutdown

All southbound lanes and two main lanes and both shoulders on northbound SH 146 were closed for a couple of hours. They reopened at 1:15 p.m.

KEMAH, Texas — SH 146 has reopened near 7th St. in Kemah after a big rig crash and hazmat spill that shut down the southbound lanes and most of the northbound lanes.

The two-vehicle crash happened just after 11 a.m., according to Houston TranStar.

The crash scene was cleared at 1:15 p.m.

We don't know yet if anyone was hurt.
