HOUSTON — Drivers will want to avoid the northbound lanes of Highway 59/I-69/Highway 288 near I-45/downtown early Wednesday afternoon.
Houston TranStar reports all lanes are closed due to a three vehicle crash at McGowen, between Third Ward and Midtown. It appears a pickup and a big rig are involved:
One of the drivers appeared to be stuck in the wreckage.
The rescue and cleanup will take a while, so drivers may want to use the 610 South Loop as an alternate route to avoid the downtown area.
