HOUSTON — Heads up, drivers -- there are several freeway closures across the Houston area that could impact your plans this weekend.
Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, the North Freeway northbound on-ramp at Rankin Road and the southbound on-ramp at Airtex Boulevard will close for the weekend.
Several alternate lanes of the North Freeway will also close Friday night, including northbound between Rankin and Richey. Both directions between Airtex and Greens will also have closures.
There will also be a full closure of the Beltway 8 north connector to the North Freeway. These closures are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
On the Southwest Freeway, all northbound main lanes will close at Chimney Rock at 9 p.m. Friday. Those lanes are set to reopen Saturday at noon.
