HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at a busy intersection in the Tanglewood area.
It happened at Chimney Rock Road and Woodway Drive around 11:15 on Wednesday morning.
HPD said a 19-year-old woman on a purple Yamaha YZF motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic in the northbound lanes of Chimney Rock. She then ran a red light at Woodway and crashed into a brown Mercedes GLC-300 turning left.
The young woman was ejected from the motorcycle and she died at the scene. Her name hasn't been released.
The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene and was questioned and released. No charges were filed.
The investigation is ongoing.
