HOUSTON — If your commute takes you down Memorial Drive, you might want to start looking for alternate routes for the next month or so.
A new construction project will cut down the lanes until October.
It's happening near the tunnels in the westbound lanes from Westcott to the 610 Loop.
The construction is part of the city's street rehabilitation initiative.
Construction will continue in phases through January 2023.
The current phase will remove and replace deteriorated pavement along Memorial.
The plan is for the current work to be completed in time for the Houston Open.
Work will continue from Crestwood to Westcott in January.
