LA PORTE, Texas — An overturned big rig is causing heavy traffic delays in the La Porte area, according to officials.
The crash involving a tanker was reported around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on Independence near State Highway 225.
Officials didn't say what led up to the crash, but drivers are encouraged to look for alternate routes as crews work to move product from the overturned big rig to a new one.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office and TxDOT are managing the flow of traffic. You'll want to avoid this trouble if your commute takes you into this area.
