HOUSTON — All main lanes of U.S. Highway 290 outbound at Cypress Rosehill are back open Monday after a major accident involving three vehicles and an 18-wheeler, according to Houston TranStar.
The incident was officially cleared at 2:17 p.m.
Investigators said the accident happened about 12:30 p.m. after a heavy truck jackknifed along the highway near Mueschke.
During the investigation and cleanup, drivers were forced to exit the freeway at Cypres Rosehill and to use the feeder road.
All lanes are now open.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office tweeted there were no life-threatening injuries.
