HOUSTON — A truck’s load struck a bridge along the South Loop Saturday, causing multiple lane closures.

It happened at the South Loop Westbound near Kirby. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, a load being hauled hit the pedestrian bridge that crosses into NRG Park.

From Houston Transtar cameras when it first happened, you can see a second truck hauling a load that appears to have cleared the bridge in front of the one that's struck it.

At this point, we don’t have word of any injuries. Multiple lanes of 610 westbound are shut down.

In an update Saturday night, TxDOT said the tanker was being backed up on 610 and was removed from under the pedestrian bridge.

Crews continue to clean up the area and are working to get the mainlanes of 610 reopened.

We’re following this traffic alert and will post any new information as we get it.  Below is a traffic map to check the conditions around this wreck.
