I-45 northbound at North Main reopens after early-morning deadly wreck

The wreck happened a little after 2:30 a.m. and cleared more than five hours later.

A deadly crash shut down the northbound lanes of I-45 at North Main for hours Friday morning.

Houston TranStar verified the crash at 2:37 a.m. Officials said at least one person was killed in the crash and another was taken to a hospital.

TxDOT posted to X at 8:09 that all lanes were reopened.

At this point, we don't have details of the wreck. As we learn more, we'll post it here.
