HOUSTON — There’s a major traffic alert on the east side of the Houston area.
A single-vehicle wreck had all lanes of I-10 East westbound at the San Jacinto River shut down. Some lanes have opened back up, but the backup remains.
At this point, we don’t know details of the accident, other than Houston Transtar said one vehicle was involved. From their camera, we can tell there’s a medical helicopter on the main lanes of the freeway and traffic is not moving.
We don’t know the cause of the accident or the condition of anyone involved. As soon as we know more, we’ll be sure to post it here.
