BAYTOWN, Texas — A deadly fiery crash involving an 18-wheeler shut down the East Freeway in Baytown early Wednesday for several hours, according to Houston Transtar.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. on the inbound lanes just before Thompson. The freeway reopened just after 11:30 a.m.
According to the Baytown Police Department, this is a single-vehicle crash that left the driver of the big rig dead. There is also a large debris field from the crash.
